Mumbai-based ed-fintech startup Invest4Edu has successfully raised $3 million in a seed funding round, led by several prominent family offices. The funds will be used to accelerate the company’s growth and enhance its impact in the field of early education planning and financial support.

Education is a rapidly growing market in India. The country spends an average of $73 billion on higher education annually, while spending on overseas education is estimated at $50 billion. The Indian education market is growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 10%, and the overseas education market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 12%-14%.

Invest4Edu sees a significant opportunity in this space, with an addressable market size of over $2.5 billion. The startup aims to capture a substantial share of the education planning market, with a target of reaching over 1.5 million users and empowering one million families within the next two years. Additionally, the company has set ambitious revenue goals, including building a $250 million Mutual Fund Assets Under Management (AUM) and achieving a monthly SIP (Systematic Investment Plan) book of $6 million.

Invest4Edu was founded in 2021 by a team of experienced financial industry professionals, including Peeyush Agrawal, Rozy Efzal, Hemika Tanwar, Chintan Kotak, Tushar Bopche, Aditya Agarwala, and Manoj Sharma. The startup empowers parents and students to plan their educational goals using AI-based tools.

Invest4Edu’s offerings include a range of products and services, such as Personalized Education Journeys, Edu AI—a chatbot that answers education-related questions, Edu Abacus—a college cost calculator, career selector, career library, study abroad services, and affordability calculators. On the financial side, the company offers portfolio management services, investment options in mutual funds and stocks, market research services, and education loans.

Growing Market Presence

Over the past year, Invest4Edu has created over 50,000 personalized education journeys on its platform and established a network of more than 100 business partners across various sectors, including financial services, skill-building programs, and institutional collaborations. The startup has also trained over 8,000 young individuals in financial literacy, empowering them to generate work opportunities.
