US-based healthtech startup Confido Health has raised $12.5 million in an extension of its Series A funding round, led by venture capital firm Z47. The latest investment takes the total capital raised in the Series A round to $22.5 million.
Existing investors Together Fund and Blume Ventures also participated in the round. Justin Saks, a healthcare private equity investor, has joined Confido Health as an investor and board adviser.
The latest funding follows a $10 million Series A round led by Blume Ventures in September 2025 and a $3 million seed round led by Together Fund in December 2024. The company has not disclosed its valuation as part of the latest transaction.
Confido AI Platform
Confido Health plans to use the new capital to expand CareOS, its AI platform for healthcare administration. The company is initially targeting multi-location healthcare organisations, particularly those backed by private equity firms.
The startup is also developing additional AI agents for different administrative functions and medical specialties. Its current focus includes ophthalmology, optometry, physical therapy, dental care, primary care and community care.
Confido initially developed voice-based AI tools for patient calls. It has since expanded the product into a wider platform that handles multiple administrative processes within healthcare organisations.
CareOS Systems
CareOS is designed to work with existing healthcare technology rather than require hospitals or healthcare providers to replace their current systems. The platform integrates with more than 50 systems covering electronic health records, practice management, telephone, billing and fax functions.
The platform can use information collected during patient intake, including patient details, referral information and insurance requirements, to trigger subsequent administrative tasks. These can include patient outreach, appointment scheduling and referral management.
According to Confido, one patient interaction can lead to several connected workflows. These include appointment booking, prescription refill requests, referral management and payment-related follow-ups.
Targets US Healthcare
The company is building its business around administrative work that healthcare providers typically manage through several separate systems and processes. Its AI agents are designed to handle tasks such as patient calls, insurance verification, prescription refills, care coordination and payment follow-ups.
Confido plans to expand its distribution through private equity firms that invest in healthcare businesses. Under this approach, the startup can introduce its technology to healthcare organisations within the portfolios of these investors.
Z47 said the platform is aimed at becoming part of the existing workforce used by healthcare providers. “Confido is building AI staffing for healthcare,” said Vikram Vaidyanathan, Partner and Senior Managing Director at Z47, referring to the platform and its integration with different healthcare systems.
About Confido Health
Confido Health was founded in 2022 by Chetan Reddy and Vichar Shroff and is headquartered in New York. The startup develops AI agents for healthcare providers, with a focus on automating administrative tasks rather than replacing existing clinical systems.
Its business model centres on deploying these AI tools within healthcare organisations and connecting them with the systems already used by providers. The company began with voice AI for patient communication and has expanded into a broader administrative automation platform through CareOS.
AI Healthcare Sector
Funding comes as healthcare technology companies increasingly develop AI tools for administrative work, including scheduling, documentation, insurance processing and patient communication. These applications focus on reducing manual processes around healthcare delivery rather than directly replacing clinical decision-making.
For Confido, the immediate expansion plan is centred on larger healthcare organisations with multiple locations. The company is also widening its product coverage across medical specialties, while using private equity relationships as one channel for reaching healthcare businesses.
Latest round gives Confido additional capital to expand CareOS and develop more specialised AI agents. How quickly these products are adopted will depend on integration with existing healthcare systems and the ability of providers to use them across different administrative workflows.
