Samsonite India has promoted Neha Bhambri to Brand Head in an internal move within the group. The promotion comes as the company looks to strengthen its leadership at a time when demand for premium travel bags is rising.
She shared this update on LinkedIn, noting her shift from product leadership to a wider brand role under the same corporate umbrella.
Who is Neha Bhambri
The promotion brings an experienced leader with strong skills in product lifecycle management, localized brand strategy, and premium retail positioning into the core leadership team.
Before taking on this responsibility at Samsonite, she served as Category Lead for Product at American Tourister, a brand within the Samsonite portfolio. Her close understanding of the company’s internal systems and market position is expected to make the transition smooth and effective.
Her career in the consumer goods sector spans several well known companies. She held a long tenure as Assistant General Manager of Product at Swiss lifestyle and luxury brand Victorinox. Prior to that, she spent many years at American Tourister, steadily moving up through retail and corporate roles, beginning as Assistant Manager and later becoming Deputy Manager.
“I am pleased to share that I am starting a new position as Brand Head at Samsonite India,” Bhambri said in her official communication, noting the shift from localized product management duties to guiding the overall identity of the flagship brand in the country.
The promotion reflects Samsonite’s strategy of advancing internal talent with proven execution capabilities in the South Asian market.
Why This Matters
Earlier in her career, she worked as an Assistant Product Manager at Bajaj Electricals Limited, as a Business Development Executive at EduRiser Learning Solutions, and began her corporate journey as a Management Trainee with Hindustan Unilever Limited.
This mix of experience across electronics, corporate learning, and fast moving consumer goods has given her a wide base to handle complex distribution networks and shifting consumer needs in city markets.
The domestic luggage market is shifting toward premium products, with business travelers and tourists asking for durable and tech-friendly travel gear. By placing a leader with strong experience in product design and retail marketing at the top, the company aims to strengthen its position against new direct-to-consumer premium brands as well as long-standing competitors.
