Indian luxury watch brand Rotoris has raised Rs 70 crore in a Series A funding round led by Blume Ventures as it looks to increase production, develop new products and expand its retail presence in India and overseas markets.
The round also includes participation from 9Unicorns and Centricity, along with a group of family offices and individual investors. The participating investors include Diwakar Goel, Global Head of Data at BlackRock, former Coca-Cola Asia Pacific Group President Atul Singh and Adhiraj Burman of the Dabur family. Actor and television host Rannvijay Singha has also invested in the round.
Rotoris plans to use the new capital mainly for research and development, higher production capacity and expansion of Rotoris House, its planned physical retail and customer experience format.
Rotoris Watches
The company entered the market with its first collection of 2,100 individually numbered watches in February 2026. According to Rotoris, the entire collection sold out within a few days after launch.
The brand said nearly 100,000 people have since registered for access to its watches. It also claims that international markets account for around 40% of demand, with customers and interest coming from markets such as the US, Dubai and Australia.
Rotoris is using limited production runs as part of its product strategy. Each collection has a disclosed production size, while numbered watches carry individual caseback numbers and documentation.
Brand Collections
One of the brand collections, Manifesta, uses natural stone for its watch dials. Materials include lapis lazuli, imperial jade, white mother of pearl and pietersite. Since natural stone varies from piece to piece, the company says individual dials can have differences in appearance.
Its Astonia collection takes a different approach, using a 42mm chronograph case made with steel, titanium and carbon. The watches use a Swiss movement, while other Rotoris collections use either Swiss or Japanese movements depending on the model.
The watches are assembled and tested by hand at the Rotoris Atelier in India. Rotoris says it uses machinery sourced from Switzerland and established its assembly processes with guidance from Swiss horologists who have worked with brands including Patek Philippe, IWC and Tiffany & Co.
Rotoris Founders
Rotoris was founded by Aakash Anand and Prerna Gupta. Anand previously built and scaled Bella Vita before exiting the business, while Gupta is leading the brand with a focus on premium positioning and customer experience.
Gupta said Rotoris is trying to balance product design with the engineering and production work behind the watches. “The design creates the desire, but the engineering, assembly and attention to detail earn the trust. We are building both sides of Rotoris with the same level of intention,” she said.
Anand has said the brand is targeting consumers who see watches as expressions of personal ambition and achievement. The company is also planning a Rotoris House in New York as part of its overseas expansion.
What is Rotoris
Rotoris is an Indian luxury watch startup founded in the year of 2025 and launched its first watch collection in February that year. Its business model centres on limited-edition, individually numbered watches sold through a direct brand-led approach, with physical customer experience stores planned alongside its online presence.
The company is positioning itself around design, mechanical engineering and hand assembly rather than competing only on volume. It uses Swiss and Japanese movements across different collections and discloses production numbers for its limited releases.
Expansion Plans
Blume Ventures Co-founder and Managing Partner Karthik Reddy said the investment reflects confidence in the founders and their ability to build an Indian luxury brand with international ambitions. He also pointed to the early demand for Rotoris products as a factor behind the investment.
Dr Apoorv Ranjan Sharma, founder of 9Unicorns, said the firm had backed Anand and Gupta in their first funding round and was participating again through the latest transaction.
The new funding gives Rotoris capital to increase manufacturing capacity while continuing product development. The company is also looking to build its international presence and establish Rotoris House locations, with New York among the markets under consideration.
For now, watches remain the company’s only product category. Rotoris, however, is positioning the business as the beginning of a broader design-led luxury brand from India. The success of its early collections and its ability to maintain demand while scaling production will be key to that expansion.
