Bengaluru-based Oppex AI raises Rs 4.2 crore in a pre-Seed funding round from InfoEdge Ventures as it works to change how companies manage software incidents. The startup plans to use the new capital for product development, team expansion and wider deployment of its platform among enterprise customers.
Oppex AI describes itself as an AI-native platform for production operations. Its main goal is to move incident management from a largely human-led process towards an AI-led system. The startup says its platform can collect information from different enterprise tools and use that context to understand production problems and support faster responses.
Advanced Agentic Approach
The platform uses an agentic approach to bring together information from observability tools, customer support systems, cloud infrastructure, internal runbooks and other enterprise sources. Instead of requiring engineers to manually search across these systems during an incident, Oppex AI aims to bring the relevant information together in one place.
The startup says this approach can also automate parts of the incident response process. Its technology is designed to help engineering teams investigate problems, understand their possible causes and coordinate responses without depending entirely on manual work.

Oppex AI co-founder and CEO Prasun Kumar says the rapid growth of AI-assisted software development is creating a new challenge for production teams. As developers are able to build and release software faster, the systems responsible for managing that software also face greater pressure.
He adds that engineers continue to spend substantial time collecting information from multiple systems, investigating incidents and coordinating responses. According to Kumar, production operations are now ready for the same type of AI-led change that is taking place in software development.
Platform Targets Enterprises
The company says its product is already deployed across multiple enterprises, with users in India, the UK, the European Union and the US. Oppex AI is now looking to increase these deployments while continuing to improve its technology.
InfoEdge Ventures partner Chinmaya Sharma says engineering teams are releasing more software than many existing operations systems are designed to handle. He also points to increasing incident volumes and pressure on experienced site reliability engineers, or SREs.
“Incident volume is rising while experienced SREs are burning out and leaving, and hiring alone cannot close that gap,” Sharma says.
The Rs 4.2 crore investment gives Oppex AI capital to strengthen its engineering and product teams. The startup says it will also use the money to accelerate development and support deployments with early customers.
Company plans to expand the capabilities of its agentic platform as it works towards its larger goal of making AI-led production operations practical for enterprise technology teams. The focus remains on improving how incidents are detected, investigated and resolved.
Indian Startups Funding
The funding adds to the growing flow of capital towards Indian startups developing enterprise-focused artificial intelligence products. Investors are increasingly looking beyond consumer AI applications towards tools that can solve specific business and technology problems.
For startups such as Oppex AI, enterprise adoption remains an important test. Building an AI product is only one part of the challenge; companies also need to prove reliability, security and measurable value when their technology is used in critical production environments.
