Major café chain giant Impresario, the group behind SOCIAL, Prithvi Café, Smoke House Deli and Mocha Café is now stepping into the premium everyday meal delivery space with its new cloud kitchen brand ‘Goodness To Go’, starting in Delhi and Gurugram.
Meal Ecosystem
The entry comes at a time when urban corporate professionals are increasingly migrating away from heavy office lunches toward portion-controlled, nutrient-dense options. By targeting the delivery-only ecosystem via aggregators like Swiggy and Zomato, the hospitality firm aims to capture recurring weekday volumes from working professionals seeking structured meal alternatives without the premium price tag of a full-service restaurant.
The operational thesis behind the brand centers on capturing the institutional desk-lunch and light-dinner segments. Urban micro-markets across the National Capital Region (NCR) have shown a consistent appetite for functional, quick-service health meals that bypass long restaurant waiting times. The brand’s operations are calibrated to service rapid-delivery turnarounds while maintaining raw ingredient integrity during transit.
Menu Composition
To minimize kitchen complexity and streamline preparation workflows, the initial menu matrix has been restricted to three distinct categories: salads, soups, and poke bowls. The structural arrangement ensures that the delivery-focused kitchens can process high order volumes during peak lunch and dinner hours without compromising quality control protocols.
"Goodness To Go comes from a very simple consumer truth: people want to feel good about what they eat, but they also want food that is exciting, convenient and satisfying," said Divya Aggarwal, Chief Growth Officer at Impresario. "This brand allows us to bring together freshness, comfort and ease in a format that fits into modern routines. It is delivery-only, built for everyday cravings, and created to make goodness feel accessible, uplifting and genuinely enjoyable."
The product line contains items ranging from lightweight selections like Citrus & Pine Nut and Melon & Feta salads to more substantive units including Mediterranean Falafel, Quinoa & Sprout, Korean Kimchi, and Curried Chicken & Avocado salads. The soup division incorporates slow-roasted Tomato Basil, Truffle Mushroom with porcini infusions, Chicken Fennel, and a vegan-friendly Kale & Millet soup formulated with coconut cream to replace dairy fats.
A recurring obstacle for premium salad and soup brands in the cloud kitchen space is texturing degradation during the 20-to-30-minute delivery window. Leafy greens often wilt when exposed to residual humidity inside closed containers, while emulsified soups can separate under fluctuating transit temperatures. The company has structured its culinary supply chains to mitigate these specific logistical issues.
Designed for Commute
"With Goodness To Go, we wanted to create food that feels fresh, wholesome and exciting, but also easy to eat every day," explained Chef Shamsul Wahid, Group Executive Chef at Impresario. "The menu is built around ingredients, textures and flavours that come together in a balanced way, from crisp salads and hearty Poke bowls to comforting soups. For us, the idea was not to make food feel serious or limiting, but to make goodness taste good, travel well and fit naturally into people’s routines."
The corporate transition into a delivery-only vehicle allows the parent entity to sweat its existing kitchen assets across the NCR, utilizing excess production capacity during off-peak hours. By bypassing the heavy capital expenditure associated with high-street real estate, the business can maintain competitive pricing structures for its salad and bowl lineups.
The brand is positioning itself directly against a crowded field of VC-backed salad kitchens and independent regional cloud brands. Success in the segment heavily depends on high repeat-order rates, which the hospitality group plans to secure by leaning on its institutional culinary procurement networks to source premium components at lower baseline costs than standalone cloud operators.
