Q1 FY27: Godrej Consumer Products Reports Strong Growth

Godrej Consumer Q1 FY27

Godrej Consumer Products Limited reported its Q1 FY27 results with consolidated sales up 19% year on year, driven by 9% underlying volume growth across core categories. Consolidated EBITDA rose 14%, while net profit grew 11%, reflecting steady expansion and improved operating performance.

Segment Performance

The domestic standalone business recorded a sales increase of 12 percent, backed by a 7 percent rise in underlying volume. International operations also contributed significantly to the financial results. Indonesia sales expanded by 15 percent year-on-year, while Africa, USA, and Middle East division posted a 47 percent jump in revenue, maintaining profitability improvements.

Alongside financial metrics, the firm entered the liquid dishwashing segment with the launch of Godrej Rizz and scaled the distribution of Godrej Spic toilet cleaners nationwide following initial success in Tamil Nadu.

Growth Drivers

Company leadership highlighted that performance stayed strong despite pressures from rising raw material prices and logistics challenges. Higher input costs and crude oil volatility created a tough operating environment during the quarter. Management added that sequential volume growth showed brand strength and execution ability, even as margins absorbed commodity inflation.

"Q1 FY27 has been a strong start to the year for Godrej Consumer Products Limited," said Sudhir Sitapati, Managing Director and CEO, GCPL. "At a consolidated level, revenues grew 19 percent year-on-year, with underlying volume growth of 9 percent. EBITDA grew 14 percent, with margins at 19.0 percent. Net profit grew 11 percent, reflecting healthy underlying earnings quality, even as margins absorbed some near-term commodity pressure."

Financial Momentum

The enterprise plans to focus on category expansion, supply chain efficiency, and deeper market penetration across urban and rural segments to sustain financial growth. Executives intend to leverage recent brand entries in household cleaning and personal care categories to capture market share against domestic and international competitors during the upcoming quarters.
