Ctruh Secures $2.5M to Expand Browser-Native 3D Tech

Deeptech Startup Ctruh Funding

Deep-tech startup Ctruh has finalized a USD 2.5 million seed funding round, signaling a renewed investor appetite for specialized 3D and extended reality (XR) infrastructure. The capital infusion was co-led by Inflection Point Ventures and Avinya Ventures, with a wide cap table including India Accelerator, Founder’s Avenue, Anthill Ventures, Finvolve, LVX, and individual backers such as Vivek Sinha and Shivakumar Ganesan.

This fresh injection follows a USD 2 million pre-seed round closed in January 2023, led by Pankaj Jain and Dharmendra Jain. The company plans to deploy the proceeds toward intensive research and development, aiming to refine its proprietary 3D engine and establish a footprint in the US and UAE markets by 2026.

Lowering Entry Barriers

Founded in 2022 by Vinay Agastya, Ctruh is tackling the technical friction often associated with 3D content creation. Traditionally, developing high-fidelity 3D assets required high-end hardware and heavy software downloads—a barrier that has slowed the adoption of immersive tech in mainstream retail. Ctruh’s core product, VersaAI, operates as a browser-native engine, allowing users to generate 3D assets from standard images, text, or video inputs without specialized equipment.

"The objective from day one was to strip away the complexity of 3D modeling. By making the engine browser-native, we ensure that high-quality XR experiences are accessible on a standard smartphone or laptop," noted Vinay Agastya, Founder of Ctruh. "This capital will help us double down on our R&D to make asset generation even more seamless for global brands."

Beyond simple asset creation, the startup is positioning itself as an end-to-end service provider through its 'Commverse Studio.' This platform acts as a bridge for brands in sectors like real estate, automotive, and healthcare, enabling them to not just build 3D environments but also manage deployment, commerce, and backend analytics within a single interface.

Capital For Growth

While the XR space in India has seen significant activity, the market remains fragmented. Ctruh faces stiff competition from established players like Metadome.ai, mirrAR, and Eccentric. However, the startup’s focus on a "zero-download" philosophy is intended to give it a distinct advantage in performance-sensitive industries like e-commerce and retail, where every second of load time impacts conversion rates.

"We are seeing a steep climb in demand for immersive shopping and virtual walkthroughs. Our platform integrates content creation with actual commerce capabilities, which means a brand doesn’t just show a product in 3D; they sell it there," a company spokesperson stated.

Global Ambitions

With the global XR market moving toward more lightweight, web-based applications, Ctruh’s timing aligns with a broader shift in how digital content is consumed. The startup's roadmap for 2026 involves a strategic push into the United States and the UAE, regions where the appetite for high-end virtual real estate and luxury e-commerce experiences is already well-documented.

By moving away from hardware-locked ecosystems, Ctruh is betting that the future of the spatial web will be built on the browser. As the company prepares for its international debut, the immediate focus remains on ensuring its tech stack can handle the scale of global enterprise demands without a corresponding leak in performance.
