Former Flipkart Chief Technology Officer Peeyush Ranjan has officially joined Mukesh Bansal’s startup incubator, Meraki Labs, as a partner. With a strong background in leadership roles at Flipkart and Google, Ranjan is set to take on a major role in growing Meraki Labs’ footprint, especially in Silicon Valley. His appointment represents a major move for the company, which aims to build AI-powered startups focused on solving important real-world problems.

Meraki Labs Strengthens AI Leadership

Peeyush Ranjan will be based in San Francisco, where he will help Meraki Labs expand its reach and influence across the global technology hub. His main responsibility will be to lead the company’s artificial intelligence strategy and shape the technical foundation of AI startups being nurtured at Meraki. According to Ranjan, the goal is not just to use AI for the sake of innovation but to carefully select valuable business challenges that AI can solve effectively. He said that Meraki’s mission is to become a moonshot factory that launches innovative and impactful companies in the AI space.

As part of his new role, Peeyush Ranjan will also be closely involved with Nurix AI, one of Meraki Labs’ flagship incubated startups. Nurix AI is focused on building custom AI agents that automate business tasks such as customer service and sales, which are often repetitive and prone to errors. Ranjan will support the company by designing its technical architecture and helping to hire key engineering and leadership talent. He will also serve on the board of Nurix AI, which raised $27.5 million in seed funding last year from global venture capital firms Accel and General Catalyst.

Meraki Labs Welcomes Peeyush Ranjan

Meraki Labs founder Mukesh Bansal, who also co-founded Myntra, welcomed Ranjan as a crucial addition to the team. Bansal praised Ranjan’s deep understanding of product development and engineering leadership, noting that his experience in building large-scale technology platforms would be critical in shaping Meraki’s AI roadmap. He added that Ranjan would be instrumental in mentoring startup founders and helping Meraki gain a solid foundation in Silicon Valley’s competitive tech ecosystem.

With Peeyush Ranjan’s entry, Meraki Labs is positioning itself as a serious player in the global AI innovation landscape. His vision and expertise are expected to drive the next wave of AI-led businesses that are both scalable and solution-oriented. Through Meraki, Ranjan aims to help founders think bigger, build stronger, and solve problems that matter—pushing AI beyond trends and into the core of modern business solutions.
