Indian matchmaking platform Matrimony.com has expanded its services with the launch of ManyJobs, a platform for frontline and entry-level job seekers in Tamil Nadu. The platform aims to connect job seekers with verified employment opportunities across various sectors, marking the company’s foray into the domestic job market.
Focusing on Tamil Nadu’s Workforce
Recently unveiled in Chennai, the launch was attended by T R B Rajaa, Tamil Nadu’s Minister for Industries, and Murugavel Janakiraman, CEO of Matrimony.com. Available in both Tamil and English, ManyJobs focuses on sectors like BPO, retail, sales, healthcare, and customer service, catering to Tamil Nadu’s diverse workforce.
Highlighting the app’s significance, T R B Rajaa noted, “Tamil Nadu is India’s talent and industrial hub and leads in women’s employment, with 42% of working women in the state. ManyJobs will help increase the state’s employment rate.”
Bridging the Grey-Collar Gap
ManyJobs specifically targets grey-collar roles, including sales, hospitality, retail, and customer support, areas often underserved by major job portals. The platform ensures job listings are verified, offering users a secure way to explore opportunities in their preferred cities.
One unique feature is the ability for job seekers to directly connect with recruiters via call or message, simplifying the hiring process. This accessibility makes ManyJobs a practical tool for those seeking quick and reliable job opportunities.
Aiming for High Impact
ManyJobs is currently free for job seekers. The platform’s ambitious goals include onboarding 1 million users and offering 100,000 job listings within its first six months. Companies like Airtel, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Jio, L&T Finance, and Reliance Retail are among the recruiters partnering with the platform.
Murugavel Janakiraman shared, “ManyJobs is designed to bridge the gap between job seekers and recruiters for frontline and entry-level roles. We aim to help 1 million job seekers find suitable employment within six months.”
