Bajaj Auto is celebrating 25 years of its Pulsar brand with the launch of the all new Pulsar 150 and Pulsar 125 motorcycles. The updated models bring fresh changes in performance, engineering, styling, and technology while retaining the familiar design and character that riders associate with Pulsar.
Since its launch in 2001, Pulsar has become one of the most recognised sports motorcycle names in India. The brand changes the way buyers look at performance motorcycles by combining everyday usability with stronger engines, sporty styling and modern features.
How Many Bikes Sold
Over the past 25 years, Pulsar grows from an Indian motorcycle brand into an international name. Bajaj Auto says more than 20 million Pulsar motorcycles have been sold across more than 40 countries.
New Pulsar 150 and Pulsar 125 continue with several familiar design elements, including the muscular fuel tank, strong road presence, sporty stance and quick acceleration. At the same time, Bajaj Auto introduces major mechanical and technology upgrades underneath the familiar styling.
The new Pulsar 150 gets a 149.5cc engine that produces 14 PS of power at 8,500 rpm and 13.7 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. The Pulsar 125 uses a 124.58cc engine producing 12 PS at 8,000 rpm and 11 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm.
Bajaj Auto says both motorcycles get an improved power-to-weight ratio to support quicker 0-60 km/h acceleration. A new gearbox is also designed to provide stronger pulling power in lower gears and better performance at slower speeds.
Useful for Daily Rides
Both motorcycles feature a new diamond-type frame designed with greater stiffness. The engine also works as a structural member, helping improve overall stability and handling.
A new nitrogen gas-charged emulsion-type monoshock suspension is another major mechanical upgrade. It is designed to improve straight-line stability, cornering control and overall ride behaviour.
The new Pulsar 150 and Pulsar 125 receive a 5-inch TFT instrument console with Google Maps mirroring and navigation support. Riders can also store important documents such as vehicle registration and insurance details on the console.
The connected console also displays incoming call and message alerts and provides music controls. These features are aimed at making the motorcycles more useful for daily commuting as well as longer rides.
Three Riding Modes in Pulsar
The motorcycles now offer three riding modes: Road, Rain and Sport. These modes are designed to give riders different levels of response and control depending on road and weather conditions.
Another feature called Crawl Tech is designed for slow-moving traffic. It aims to make low-speed riding easier, particularly in crowded city conditions where riders frequently need to manage the motorcycle at very low speeds.
Bajaj Auto also refreshes the lighting and front-end design. The new Wolf-Eye Headlamp gets larger optics and a sharper appearance inspired by a predator’s gaze.
On the top variant of the Pulsar 150, Bajaj Auto claims the headlamp delivers strong throw, spread and intensity. The motorcycles also get an Integrated Starter Generator on selected higher variants.

The Integrated Starter Generator supports an Automatic Start-Stop function. The system is designed to improve fuel efficiency by switching the engine off during suitable stops and restarting it when required.
Bajaj Auto says the system also reduces mechanical complexity and contributes to a smoother riding experience. The feature is available on the top three variants of both Pulsar models.
Speaking at the launch, Sarang Kanade, Chief Business Officer, Two-wheeler Business Unit at Bajaj Auto, said, “For over 25 years, Pulsar has been more than just a motorcycle. It has been the first taste of performance for generations of riders.”
Kanade added that the company retains the elements that make Pulsar familiar while updating the engineering and technology for current riders. He said the new motorcycles continue the brand’s "Definitely Daring" identity.
Pulsar Road Price
Ex-showroom price of Bajaj Pulsar 125 starts at Rs 92,990, while another model Pulsar 150 starts at Rs 1,15,233. The on-road price of both bikes depends on the selected variant, city, registration charges, insurance, and other local costs. Buyers should therefore check the latest ex-showroom prices and calculate the on-road price in their city before making a purchase.
