GreenLine Mobility Solutions Ltd, a leader in Essar’s green mobility initiative, has partnered with Sterlite Copper, a unit of Vedanta Ltd, to promote sustainable logistics. The partnership focuses on using liquefied natural gas (LNG) powered trucks to reduce the environmental impact of transportation.
The partnership officially began with the launch of LNG-powered trucks at Vedanta’s Sterlite Copper Plant in Silvassa. These trucks will transport finished goods to northern India, following a reverse logistics model. GreenLine’s trucks can carry up to 40 tonnes of goods and travel 1,200 km on a single tank of LNG, improving efficiency and lowering carbon emissions.
