Ride hailing platform Rapido has integrated its standalone food delivery service Ownly directly into its primary application. The strategic integration opens the zero-commission food ordering model to the existing active monthly user base of the platform through a single digital ecosystem.
The consolidation connects the food service business with the established logistics infrastructure of the mobility brand. Company analysis indicates that the active user demographic for ride hailing across domestic markets remains significantly larger than the current user base for online food delivery platforms, offering a direct pathway to convert daily commuters into food ordering consumers.

Through the updated Rapido main app interface, users can access food ordering options from Ownly alongside bookings for bike taxis, auto rickshaws, and cabs. The operational shift is designed to optimize supply side utilization by deploying the driver fleet for meal transport during off peak commuting hours, reducing overhead costs per delivery.
Ownly operates on a zero-commission model created to address structural margins in the food delivery segment. Traditional market aggregation models extract variable commissions from restaurant partners, whereas the reduced operational fees are structured to help dining establishments retain higher revenue margins per order while reducing hidden charges for end consumers.
