HCLSoftware, the software business of HCLTech, is set to acquire Croatia-based Robotiq.ai for an enterprise value of EUR 9 million, or around Rs 98 crore. The proposed all-cash deal will expand HCLSoftware capabilities in enterprise robotic process automation (RPA) as demand grows for AI systems that can not only analyse tasks but also execute them.
The transaction will be carried out through HCL Technologies Austria GmbH, a step-down wholly owned subsidiary of HCLTech. The entity will acquire 100% of the outstanding equity of Robotiq.ai. HCLTech expects the transaction to close by the end of November 2026, subject to the required conditions.
Robotiq.ai, which was incorporated in Croatia in August 2018, is headquartered in Zagreb. Its platform helps businesses automate repetitive work across different enterprise applications and is used by customers in sectors such as banking, insurance and telecom.
HCLSoftware Automation
The acquisition is centred on adding RPA capabilities to HCL UnO Agentic, HCLSoftware platform for AI-led enterprise workflows. HCLSoftware said businesses are increasingly looking for AI systems that can reason about work and then carry out tasks reliably across complex software environments.
A key part of the deal is Robotiq.ai ability to automate processes in applications where suitable application programming interfaces, or APIs, are either unavailable or do not provide enough access. This can allow AI-driven workflows to interact with existing enterprise systems without requiring every application to be rebuilt.
Robotiq.ai platform also includes security and audit features, along with different deployment options. HCLSoftware plans to combine these capabilities with its existing AI orchestration technology as it develops its enterprise automation offering.
Robotiq.ai Serves Enterprises
Robotiq.ai reported revenue of EUR 1.4 million and profit after tax of EUR 0.2 million in 2025. Its RPA technology is aimed at organisations that have repetitive processes spread across multiple business applications.
The company has positioned its platform for enterprise environments where security, monitoring and reliable execution are important. Its customers include organisations in financial services and telecommunications, giving HCLSoftware an established RPA technology base to integrate into its wider software portfolio.

The proposed acquisition also comes as HCLSoftware continues to build AI into its enterprise software portfolio. HCLTech says HCLSoftware has more than 70 software products and serves more than 10,000 clients across over 130 countries.
AI Agents Execution
The deal reflects a broader shift in enterprise AI from systems that mainly generate information towards software that can take action within business processes. RPA can provide the connection between AI-based decision-making and older applications that may not have modern integration interfaces.
For HCLSoftware, adding Robotiq.ai could therefore extend the practical use of HCL UnO Agentic beyond AI-led reasoning and orchestration. The company said the combined capabilities are intended to help enterprises automate workflows across applications while maintaining reliable execution.
The acquisition will also give Robotiq.ai access to the larger enterprise technology footprint of HCLSoftware. The Croatian company is expected to become part of the software division once the transaction is completed.
