Practo Expands Digital Health Services to UAE, Know More!

Share post:

India’s digital health startup Practo has officially launched its consumer services in the United Arab Emirates. The company has introduced its main platform, Practo.com, in the cities of Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah. This expansion allows patients to search and book appointments with verified doctors across several specialties such as dermatology, gynecology, psychiatry, dentistry, and ENT.

Practo Enters UAE Market

Currently, over 50,000 users in the UAE actively use Practo’s services each month. The platform has already onboarded more than 31,000 doctors and 3,000 healthcare facilities in the region. Practo aims to offer a unified healthcare experience in a market where patients often rely on isolated hospital networks.

To help UAE users make smarter decisions, Practo plans to display insurance details at the doctor level by the end of the month. This is especially important in the UAE, where healthcare is tightly linked to insurance plans. By providing this information upfront, Practo hopes to make doctor discovery more convenient and transparent.

India’s digital health startup Practo launches in UAE.

Practo has operated in the UAE for over a decade through its hospital software product, Insta by Practo. This system supports operations in well-known institutions like Emirates Hospital and Life Medical Center. The new launch targets consumers directly, integrating doctor discovery, appointment bookings, and patient reviews—features that helped Practo reach 400 million users in India.

Focus on Global Expansion

Co-founder and CEO Shashank ND said Practo’s move into the UAE is part of a larger plan to take Indian healthcare innovation global. After achieving profitability in FY24 and positive cash flow in FY25, Practo is in a strong financial position to grow internationally.

The platform also supports care across borders, helping patients in India and the Gulf region maintain continuity in their medical treatments. Patients can search not only by doctor or clinic but also by symptoms, procedures, and treatments.

With growing cross-border health needs, Practo is set to play a vital role in connecting patients with quality care in the UAE and beyond.
