Cloudphysician Appoints Dr. Mandar Vaidya as CEO India

Cloudphysician, a Bengaluru-based AI healthcare startup specializing in ICU and NICU care, has appointed Dr. Mandar Vaidya as CEO-India following a successful Series A funding round.

Dr. Mandar Vaidya brings over two decades of global business experience, including leadership roles at McKinsey & Co. and as regional CEO at OYO. His strategic insights and tech-enabled approach aim to drive Cloudphysician’s growth in delivering high-quality critical care solutions across India.

Series A Funding

Cloudphysician recently secured $10.5 million in Series A funding, led by Peak XV Partners, Elevar Equity, and Panthera Peak. This funding will bolster the startup’s efforts to expand its AI-guided healthcare services to more hospitals nationwide.

Cloudphysician’s Mission

Founded in 2017, Cloudphysician collaborates with hospitals to enhance ICU and NICU care through its Smart-ICU model. This model integrates AI-guided doctors and nurses 24/7, ensuring protocolized care, improved nursing quality, and better patient outcomes.

Dr. Vaidya’s Vision

Commenting on his appointment, Dr. Mandar Vaidya expressed excitement about Cloudphysician’s impact in reducing ICU mortality rates by 40%. He aims to extend this impact to hospitals across India by leveraging advanced technology for precise diagnosis and treatment.

Future Outlook

Cloudphysician, under Dr. Vaidya’s leadership, plans to scale its tech-driven healthcare solutions to over 5,000 hospitals. The startup has already managed care for over 1 lakh ICU patients across 200 hospitals, highlighting its commitment to transforming healthcare delivery and setting new industry standards.

With Dr. Mandar Vaidya at the helm, Cloudphysician is poised to revolutionize critical care in India. The appointment marks a significant milestone in the startup’s journey towards enhancing healthcare accessibility and improving patient outcomes nationwide.
