Vahan.ai Raises $10 Million Funding to Expand AI-Driven Recruitment

Vahan.ai, a Bengaluru-based recruitment platform powered by artificial intelligence, has raised $10 million in its Series B funding round. Led by Khosla Ventures, the round also saw participation from Y Combinator, Gaingels, and Vijay Shekhar Sharma of Paytm. Vahan.ai specializes in helping India’s blue-collar workforce secure jobs with leading companies.

Vahan.ai has successfully placed over 500,000 workers in top companies like Zomato, Blinkit, Swiggy, Rapido, and Amazon, operating across 480 cities in India. The platform recruits around 25,000 workers monthly, helping companies reduce recruitment costs and streamline hiring processes. By leveraging AI, Vahan.ai has revolutionized how blue-collar workers find employment opportunities, making the process faster and more efficient.

Madhav Krishna, founder of Vahan.ai, emphasized the platform’s mission to help those who are often overlooked in traditional recruitment channels. With 81 million people living below the poverty line in urban India, Vahan.ai aims to provide stable employment to this demographic, improving their quality of life and contributing to economic growth.

Krishna highlighted how the platform’s efforts have already helped workers achieve better living conditions, access education, healthcare, and daily necessities. This impact extends beyond individuals to entire communities, boosting purchasing power and driving economic development.

Future Growth and Expansion

With fresh funding, Vahan.ai plans to expand into sectors such as Manufacturing and Retail, further enhancing its AI-powered recruitment platform. The company is also focused on improving its AI capabilities, currently offering interviews in English and Hindi. Within the next year, Vahan.ai plans to support eight major Indian languages and numerous regional dialects, making the platform more accessible across the country.

Since its founding, Vahan.ai has grown rapidly, scaling from providing 600 jobs per month during the pandemic to 25,000 jobs monthly today. Krishna expressed excitement about the platform’s potential to continue driving positive change for India’s blue-collar workforce. With an ambitious vision of helping over a billion people find employment, Vahan.ai is set to play a crucial role in shaping the future of work in India.
