Troovy Raises Rs 20 Crore to Make Healthy Food for Kids

Healthy food startup Troovy has successfully raised Rs 20 crore in a pre-Series A funding round. Fireside Ventures led the investment and also included participation from Sharrp Ventures, Spring Marketing Capital, and Veltis Capital. The fresh capital will help Troovy expand its presence in the clean-label food space, focusing especially on healthy and tasty food for children.

Troovy Healthy Food Made with Natural Ingredients

Founded by Aditya Mukherjee and Mansi Baranwal, both alumni of IIM Bangalore and Bain, Troovy creates nutritious food products made entirely from natural ingredients. Mansi leads the product development, crafting clean-label recipes free from harmful chemicals, while Aditya manages growth and market expansion across various sales channels. Their mission is to replace unhealthy junk food with better options that are packed with nutrition.

Troovy’s product range includes protein-rich chips and puffs, instant protein pasta, high-protein vermicelli, immunity-boosting sauces and spreads, and multi-millet milk mixes. All of these are made using real ingredients like vegetables, dals, and millets. The brand does not use maida, refined sugar, palm oil, or artificial preservatives. Instead, they use natural options like soy flour for thickness, vinegar for freshness, and rosemary extract for preservation.

Troovy Wants to Replace Junk Food

The founders believe that as the nutritional value of vegetables, grains, and soil continues to fall, children are becoming more prone to nutrition deficiencies. Troovy aims to fill this gap by offering tasty, daily food options made from whole, wholesome ingredients. According to Aditya and Mansi, their mission is to build food that children love and parents trust. Every product is crafted to offer both taste and health, without needing to compromise on either.

Ankita Balotia, Vice President at Fireside Ventures, shared that children’s nutrition remains a large untapped area in the market. While adults have several options for protein and health supplements, parents often struggle to find clean and convenient food choices for kids. Troovy stands out as one of the few brands building a daily nutrition solution tailored for children’s needs.

Troovy Plans to Use Funds for Expansion

With the new funding, Troovy plans to expand its product portfolio, grow its distribution channels, and reach more households across India. The company also aims to continue innovating in the clean-label food category and raise awareness about healthy eating for children. Troovy is on a mission to make nutritious food enjoyable and accessible for every child.
