Bengaluru-based startup Beyond Appliances has secured $2 million in seed funding to bring advanced technology into Indian kitchens. The funding round was led by Fireside Venture Investment Fund III, with support from Dharana Capital and well-known angel investors such as Shezan Bhojani of Design Cafe, and Saurabh Jain and Ramakant Sharma, co-founders of Livspace.
Innovative Smart Kitchen Products
Founded in 2024 by Eshwar K Vikas and Rakesh Patil, Beyond Appliances has introduced cutting-edge smart kitchen products. One standout product is an Android-powered chimney featuring a 7-inch display. This chimney acts as more than just an appliance—it also serves as a kitchen assistant. Users can watch OTT platforms, play music, set reminders, and manage grocery lists through services like Zepto and Blinkit.
The startup also offers smart hobs with advanced features such as digital timers, whistle counters, and Flame Failure Detection (FFD) for enhanced safety. These innovations have gained traction, with the company selling over 2,500 units so far, particularly in Tier II and Tier III cities, which account for 60-70% of sales.
How the Funding Will Be Used
The $2 million funding will be allocated to expanding research and development (R&D) and enhancing manufacturing capabilities. Beyond Appliances plans to introduce AI-powered cooking assistance and integrate more IoT solutions tailored to Indian households.
The company has already filed multiple patents and is working on an exciting pipeline of products to address unique challenges in Indian kitchens. Eshwar K Vikas, CEO of Beyond Appliances, shared, “Our goal is to revolutionize kitchen experiences with tech-driven solutions. This funding will help us create innovative products for Indian homes.”
Tapping into India’s Growing Smart Appliance Market
India’s kitchen appliance market is rapidly adopting smart and connected devices, creating an opportunity for Beyond Appliances. Shuchi Pandya, Principal at Fireside Ventures, said, “Beyond Appliances combines practical features with advanced technology, making it an ideal choice for modern consumers. Their experienced team gives them an edge in the growing kitchen automation market.”
With this funding and innovative approach, Beyond Appliances aims to redefine how Indian households use their kitchens.
