TCS Partners with McDonald’s Philippines to Upgrade IT Operations

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has entered into a two-year partnership with McDonald’s Philippines to improve the technology and IT systems for over 760 restaurants in the country. This partnership aims to standardize and digitize operations, allowing McDonald’s to enhance its customer experience and business efficiency.

Cloud-Based IT Upgrade

As part of this partnership, TCS will upgrade McDonald’s current systems in the Philippines by moving them to cloud-based SAP S/4HANA on RISE. This advanced technology will provide data-driven insights, helping McDonald’s make better decisions and optimize its operations. The upgrade will also improve efficiency, giving the company a more agile system for smoother business processes.

Focus on Digital Transformation

TCS is working with Golden Arches Development Corporation (GADC), the master franchise holder of McDonald’s in the Philippines, to ensure a smooth transition to a digital-first approach. This is TCS’ first partnership with McDonald’s in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, marking a significant step in their global expansion efforts.

GADC’s Managing Director, Margot Torres, expressed excitement about the partnership, saying that the SAP S/4HANA system will help McDonald’s gain more agility and allow them to continuously improve the customer and employee experience. With the help of TCS, McDonald’s aims to enhance its operations and meet the growing demands of the fast-paced food service industry.
