Swiggy Instamart Expands to 76 Cities: A Standalone App is Coming!

Swiggy Instamart, the quick commerce service by Swiggy, has expanded its reach to 76 cities across India. Known for its fast delivery service, Instamart offers groceries and daily essentials within 10 minutes. It features nearly 50,000 products, making it a popular choice for customers seeking convenience.

Swiggy announced that Instamart will soon have its own standalone mobile app. While the service will continue to be available within the main Swiggy app, the new app aims to provide a simpler and more focused experience for users.

CEO Vision for Instamart

Swiggy Managing Director and Group CEO, Sriharsha Majety, shared that Instamart has the potential to grow even larger than Swiggy’s food delivery business. He highlighted the strong reception Instamart has received in new cities and product categories, suggesting it could attract over 100 million users.

Majety also noted that keeping Instamart within the main Swiggy app allows it to benefit from the company’s other services. However, the standalone app will act as an additional option for customers, making it easier to access quick commerce services.

App Focus on User Experience

Amitesh Jha, CEO of Swiggy Instamart, said the new app will ensure a smooth and simple experience for customers who need everyday essentials. Subscribers to Swiggy’s plans like Swiggy One, One Lite, and One BLCK will continue to enjoy the same benefits on both the Instamart app and the Swiggy platform.

The standalone app is expected to make ordering more convenient and help Swiggy attract more users who prefer dedicated platforms for specific services.

Swiggy Instamart Market Presence

Founded in 2014, Swiggy has grown into a leading platform for on-demand convenience. It collaborates with over 2 lakh restaurants in 680 cities for food delivery. The company has also introduced standalone services like Swiggy Daily and InsanelyGood to cater to specific customer needs.

Instamart has become a key part of Swiggy’s offerings, delivering groceries and essentials through a network of over 5 lakh delivery partners. The service is already integrated into Swiggy’s multi-service app, which includes food delivery and dining-out options.

Innovating for the Future

Swiggy continues to explore new ways to meet consumer demands. The upcoming Instamart standalone app reflects the company’s commitment to innovation and convenience. With plans to launch more specialized services in the future, Swiggy aims to strengthen its position as a leader in quick commerce and on-demand retail in India.
