WeWork India, a leading co-working company, has opened a new centre in Bengaluru, adding 1.10 lakh square feet of office space. This milestone brings its operational portfolio to 1 lakh desks across India, highlighting its rapid growth in the co-working sector.

Since entering India in 2016, WeWork has steadily expanded its presence. It now operates in 62 locations across eight major cities, including Chennai, New Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune, and Hyderabad.

Arnav S Gusain, Chief of Supply at WeWork India, shared his excitement about the milestone: “We opened our first building in Bengaluru in 2017. It’s a proud moment to reach over 1 lakh desks in the same city. As demand for flexible workspaces grows, we aim to help businesses scale with our comprehensive services.”

Centres in Gurugram and Chennai

The company isn’t stopping here. WeWork India is set to open two more centres soon—one in Gurugram and another in Chennai.

In Gurugram, the new centre will feature over 1,400 desks across 1.17 lakh sq ft. In Chennai, the centre will provide 1,900 desks spanning 1.26 lakh sq ft. These expansions highlight the company’s commitment to meeting the rising demand for flexible office solutions.

Flexible Office Market on the Rise

Real estate consultancy Vestian reports that flexible office spaces in India covered 67 million sq ft of prime office space as of June 2023. This number is expected to surpass 100 million sq ft by the end of 2026.

The market has seen a significant shift post-pandemic, with large companies now adopting flexible workspaces for their cost-effectiveness and adaptability.

A Bright Future for Co-Working

WeWork India’s latest expansion underscores the growing popularity of co-working spaces among businesses of all sizes. With its continued efforts to provide innovative and flexible solutions, the company is well-positioned to lead India’s co-working revolution.

As more businesses embrace flexible work environments, WeWork India remains a trusted partner in helping them grow and succeed.
