WeWork India, a top provider of flexible workspaces, has announced Janak Malkani as the new Head of Managed Office for India. In this role, Malkani will also lead sales for the West region. He has 18 years of experience in the Indian real estate industry, making him a valuable addition to the WeWork India team.
Janak Malkani’s Experience
Malkani’s past roles include Executive Director at CBRE’s Advisory & Transaction Services in Mumbai and positions at Cushman & Wakefield, Knight Frank, and Indiaproperties.com. He has been key in expanding international retailers like Walmart and DeBeers into India.

Flexible Workspace Market in India
The flexible workspace market in India has grown by about 20% year-over-year for the last three years. This growth is largely driven by large enterprises and traditional businesses, which make up 60% of the expansion. Businesses are looking for comprehensive office space management solutions to focus on their core products.
Currently, over one-third of WeWork India’s business comes from the Managed Office portfolio, which covers over 2 million square feet and serves enterprise members like AstraZeneca and Kantar.
