Are you living in Greater Noida West, Ghaziabad, or around the Pari Chowk area and fed up with the never-ending traffic during your daily commute? Or maybe you are dreading the long travel hours to Greater Noida? Well, here’s some great news! Relief is on the way for daily commuters as the much-anticipated Namo Bharat Metro line is set to connect Ghaziabad to the new Noida International Airport.
This metro project is expected to change travel across Delhi NCR, significantly improving connectivity in Gautam Buddha Nagar and neighboring areas of Uttar Pradesh.
Connecting Key Areas
The Namo Bharat Metro will cover a total length of 72.4 km and include 22 stations along its route. The metro line will start at Siddharth Vihar in Ghaziabad and extend through key locations such as Greater Noida West, Alpha One, and end at Noida International Airport. Important stops will include areas like Sector 71 in Noida, Tech Zone 4, and Pari Chowk, ensuring enhanced connectivity across these critical regions.
Timeline and Planning
The project is expected to be completed by 2031, although this timeline has not yet been independently verified. The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC), which is leading the development of the metro, conducted a comprehensive population survey to understand the demand for public transport in the area. This survey will help create an efficient and future-ready metro system that caters to the needs of the growing population.
Better Travel Experience
Once completed, the Namo Bharat Metro will provide a comfortable and convenient alternative to road travel, significantly reducing travel time between Ghaziabad, Noida, and the Noida International Airport. The metro system will also directly serve air passengers by offering a seamless connection to the airport, making it easier for both residents and travelers to commute.
Support for Tech Zones
In addition to benefiting residents, the metro line will be crucial for professionals working in the tech zones and commercial hubs of Noida and Greater Noida. With the region’s increasing population, the metro project will provide much-needed public transportation options, easing traffic congestion and supporting the local economy.
