This state-of-the-art facility, established with an investment of Rs. 177.27 crore, is dedicated to crafting innovative wireless connectivity solutions. The inauguration of this center heralds a significant milestone in India semiconductor industry, generating employment opportunities for up to 1,600 skilled technology professionals. This move underscores Qualcomm’s commitment to fostering indigenous talent and aligns with the government’s ‘Make in India‘ initiative, aiming to propel the nation’s growth in the technology sector.
In addition to focusing on wireless connectivity solutions, Qualcomm’s new design center will actively contribute to the company’s global Research and Development endeavors, particularly in 5G Cellular technology. Rahul Patel, Group General Manager at Qualcomm Technologies, highlighted the pivotal role of the center in shaping the future of connectivity, both locally and globally.
