Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has teamed up with EV startup Bounce Infinity to launch eDrive stores, aiming to boost electric vehicle (EV) adoption across India. These eDrive stores will be multi-brand hubs located at select BPCL retail outlets, where consumers can purchase electric two-wheelers directly.
How eDrive Stores Will Work
The eDrive stores will be managed either by Bounce Infinity or BPCL’s dealer network to ensure a smooth customer experience. Each store will have charging points, allowing customers to charge their vehicles on-site. BPCL dealers will receive support in marketing, inventory management, and training from Bounce Infinity. Each BPCL location will feature only one brand, giving Bounce Infinity or another brand exclusive presence at each outlet.
Transforming Fuel Stations
This partnership aims to transform fuel stations into versatile energy hubs. Pardeep Goyal, Business Head of Retail at BPCL, highlighted that this initiative is part of BPCL’s strategy to support sustainability goals and meet the changing needs of customers. “At BPCL, we are continually advancing our services to support the nation’s sustainability goals. Partnering with Bounce Infinity is an integral part of our strategy to transform our fuel stations into versatile energy hubs that cater to the evolving needs of our customers and contribute to environmental sustainability,” said Goyal.
Leveraging BPCL’s Retail Network
Bounce Infinity will use BPCL extensive retail network to offer convenient access to their electric two-wheelers. “This partnership strengthens our goal of sustainable mobility solutions. Bounce Infinity will now leverage BPCL’s extensive retail network to offer consumers convenient access to our innovative range of electric two-wheelers. The flexible operation model of eDrive stores ensures consistent adherence to the highest quality standards and operational efficiency across all locations,” said Vivekananda Hallekare, CEO and Co-founder of Bounce Infinity.
Bounce Infinity is supported by investors such as Peak XV Partners, InnoVen Capital, B Capital, Chiratae Ventures, Maverick Ventures, Brun Raschle, and Omidyar Network, among others.
Collaboration for eDrive stores between Bharat Petroleum and Bounce Infinity marks a significant step towards promoting electric vehicle adoption in India, contributing to a greener and more sustainable future.
