Sara Tendulkar Joins Digital Cricket League

Sara Tendulkar’s entry into GEPL highlights the growing connection between traditional cricket and the fast-growing world of esports. Her role as the Mumbai franchise owner brings star power and a fresh perspective to the league, as GEPL prepares for an even more exciting second season. Her association reflects both her love for the game and her deep bond with the city of Mumbai.

GEPL is known as the world’s biggest e-cricket and entertainment league and is based on the popular mobile cricket game Real Cricket. The game has already crossed over 300 million downloads globally. Since the first season of GEPL, the league has gained a strong fan base, with player registrations increasing from 2 lakh to over 9 lakh, and over 70 million online impressions recorded across JioCinema and Sports18.

Strong Vision for Mumbai E-Cricket Franchise

Sara Tendulkar expressed her excitement about joining GEPL and taking on the new responsibility. She said that cricket has always played an important role in her family and that she is excited to explore the sport through the digital world of esports. Owning the Mumbai franchise gives her a chance to combine her love for cricket with her pride in her hometown.

GEPL Season 2 Aims for Bigger Success

GEPL League Commissioner Rohit Potphode also spoke about Sara’s impact, saying her involvement is a landmark moment for the league. It will increase fan interest and help shape the league’s future.

Season 2 of GEPL promises to be more competitive, with upgraded team structures, elite-level gameplay using Real Cricket 24, and a grand finale set for May 2025. With Sara Tendulkar on board, the league is expected to reach new heights and attract a larger audience, blending cricket, technology, and entertainment.
