Mamaearth-Parent Honasa Promotes Two Senior Executives

Share post:

Honasa Consumer Limited, the parent company of personal care brand Mamaearth, has promoted two of its senior leaders to critical CXO roles as part of a broader organisational restructuring. Effective April 24, Karan Bajwa has been appointed as the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), and Avinash Dhagat has taken charge as the Chief Supply Chain Officer (CSCO). This move aims to strengthen Honasa’s leadership team and ensure a stronger strategic focus on human resources and supply chain efficiency. Both leaders will now serve as senior management personnel in the company.

Karan Bajwa has been with Honasa since April 2021 and previously held the position of Senior Vice President – Human Resources. He has now stepped into the CHRO role, bringing with him rich industry experience from his earlier stints at Airtel and Reckitt. Throughout his career, Bajwa has worked in various HR domains including talent acquisition, rewards, mergers and acquisitions, and HR strategy. He holds an MBA in Human Resources from SCMHRD and a B.Tech degree in Electronics and Communication from Panjab University. Bajwa’s promotion reflects the company’s confidence in his ability to lead its people-first strategy during this growth phase.

Avinash Dhagat To Lead Supply Chain Transformation

Avinash Dhagat has also been elevated from his former role as Senior Vice President – Supply Chain to the newly appointed position of Chief Supply Chain Officer (CSCO). Dhagat joined Honasa in April 2021 and has played a key role in strengthening the company’s logistics and demand planning. Prior to joining Honasa, he held senior leadership roles in renowned companies such as L’Oréal, Supermax, and Ashok Leyland. He holds an MBA in Supply Chain and Logistics from SP Jain School of Global Management and a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from NIT Warangal. His elevation marks Honasa’s focus on building a more agile and responsive supply chain network.

These leadership changes come soon after the departure of Chief Marketing Officer Anuja Mishra. Until a new CMO is appointed, Honasa’s CEO and whole-time director Varun Alagh has taken interim responsibility for marketing. Alagh is guiding the company through a crucial phase focused on profitability and organisational realignment. In the third quarter of FY25, Mamaearth posted a profit after tax of Rs 26 crore, marking a return to profitability. The company also recorded a 5.9 percent year-over-year growth in revenue, reaching Rs 517 crore compared to Rs 488 crore in the same quarter of the previous year.

Honasa Moves Ahead with Focus on Growth

With the elevation of Karan Bajwa and Avinash Dhagat to CXO positions, Honasa Consumer is reinforcing its leadership strength as it looks toward long-term growth and operational excellence. These appointments indicate the company’s commitment to nurturing internal talent and focusing on strategic leadership that supports its expansion goals and profitability targets.
