IIMA Ventures, formerly known as IIMA-CIIE, has launched its new ‘Venture Investing Accelerator.’ This accelerator programme is designed to help amateur investors gain the essential knowledge and skills they need to succeed in early-stage investing. It aims to support new investors and fund managers in identifying promising companies and making sound investment decisions.
Accelerator Programme Details
The Venture Investing Accelerator is a flexible, experience-based programme. Participants can set their own milestones and progress at their own pace. The programme includes a 3-day bootcamp at the IIMA Campus, scheduled for August 8-10, 2024. During this bootcamp, participants will have the opportunity to learn from IIMA Professors, IIMA Ventures Partners, experienced leaders in venture investing, and their peers.
In addition to the bootcamp, the programme offers bespoke mentoring tailored to individual preferences and mentalities. This personalized approach ensures that each participant receives the support they need to succeed.
Target Audience and Curriculum
The programme is ideal for aspiring and first-time early-stage investors. It is also suitable for individuals looking to understand and operationalize venture investing as an asset class through family offices, micro VCs, or corporate venture offices.
For participants aspiring to become angel investors, the programme covers various aspects of the investment process. These include deal scouting, deal structuring, due diligence, term sheet drafting, setting up monitoring mechanisms, and preparing for exits. For those looking to set up their own funds, the training will be tailored to meet their specific needs.
