Curefoods Secures Pan-India Rights for Krispy Kreme Expansion

Share post:

Curefoods, a leading food services and cloud kitchen startup, has officially acquired the pan-India rights for Krispy Kreme, the popular global doughnut and coffee brand. This marks a major step in the company’s growth, allowing Curefoods to operate Krispy Kreme outlets across the entire country. The announcement confirms that the brand is expanding into North India, starting with Delhi NCR, through seven new retail stores and four cloud kitchens.

Expansion in Delhi NCR

The entry into the Delhi NCR market includes some of the region’s busiest retail locations, such as Select Citywalk Mall in Saket, Worldmark Aerocity, Ambience Mall in Gurgaon, Promenade Mall in Vasant Kunj, and Mall of India in Noida. With these new stores, Bengaluru-based Curefoods now runs more than 100 Krispy Kreme locations in India, combining both dine-in and delivery formats.

Ankit Nagori, the founder of Curefoods, shared that having full control of the brand in India will help deliver a consistent experience to customers. He said that this acquisition is just the beginning and that Curefoods is dedicated to making Krispy Kreme more available and enjoyable for consumers across the country. The company plans to move next into Western markets, with Mumbai highlighted as a key focus area.

Strong Portfolio of Brands

Founded in 2020 by former Flipkart executive Ankit Nagori, Curefoods manages a growing portfolio of food and beverage brands. Some of its well-known brands include EatFit, CakeZone, Nomad Pizza, Sharief Bhai, Frozen Bottle, and Olio Pizza. With Krispy Kreme now fully under its control, Curefoods strengthens its presence in India’s competitive food delivery and quick-service restaurant space. The company currently operates over 500 cloud kitchens and outlets in more than 40 cities.

In FY24, Curefoods achieved a 53% increase in revenue and significantly reduced its net losses. Its growth comes at a time when the cloud kitchen industry in India is expanding rapidly. According to the National Restaurant Association of India, the segment grew by 30–40% annually from 2019 to 2024 and is expected to continue growing at 35% every year for the next four years.

Future Plans and IPO

This acquisition supports Curefoods’ broader plan of consolidating its position in the Indian food industry. It has previously acquired startups like Yumlane, merged with Maverix, and secured regional rights for U.S. pizza brand Sbarro. The company is reportedly preparing for a $300–400 million IPO by the end of FY26 and has restructured itself into a public entity to support this move.

Curefoods’ control of Krispy Kreme across India marks an important step in becoming a nationwide leader in food services, both online and offline.
