Raaz App Secures $1 Million in Pre-Seed Funding

Share post:

Raaz, a digital platform focused on male reproductive health in India, has raised $1 million (~Rs 7.7 crore) in pre-seed funding. Fireside Ventures and Campus Fund led the funding round, with participation from prominent investors like Altaf Saiyed (Traya), Raymond Russell (Pharos Fund), Vaibhav Domkundwar (Better), Shreyas Kumar (Fermat Commerce), and Bhargav Tarpara (Greenlit).

Raaz was founded to tackle sensitive issues like male sexual dysfunction and infertility, which are often ignored in traditional healthcare systems. The platform provides personalized treatment programs that include medication, nutrition, diagnostics, exercises, and tech-enabled progress tracking. Each patient is assigned a doctor and a personal health concierge to guide them through their recovery journey.

Expanding Reach and Enhancing Services

With the new funding, Raaz plans to expand its platform and services. The funds will be used to conduct clinical trials, launch awareness campaigns, and develop advanced, tech-enabled treatment protocols. Raaz aims to become a trusted name in reproductive health solutions across India, especially in underserved regions, within the next five years.

Co-founder and COO Harshit Kukreja shared the inspiration behind Raaz. He recalled treating a young man in Delhi who had attempted suicide due to marital problems caused by erectile dysfunction. The man had spent his savings on ineffective remedies, a situation that highlighted the lack of reliable healthcare options for men facing similar issues. This incident motivated Harshit and co-founder Akash Kumar to explore the problem further, leading to the creation of Raaz.

Tackling India’s Fertility Challenges

Akash Kumar, Co-founder and CEO of Raaz, emphasized the urgency of addressing declining fertility rates in India. “For years, we’ve worried about overpopulation, but now fertility rates are dropping rapidly. If this continues, India risks aging before it becomes prosperous. Raaz is our attempt to reverse this trend by helping couples have children while respecting individual choices,” he said.

Ankur Khaitan, Principal at Fireside Ventures, highlighted Raaz’s unique approach. “Raaz is addressing one of India’s most underserved healthcare needs—reproductive health. Their evidence-based programs and understanding of rural India’s challenges make them true changemakers,” he said.

Support from Investors

Richa Bajpai from Campus Fund praised the founders’ dedication. “Akash and Dr. Harshit are tackling reproductive healthcare with empathy and innovation. Their tech-first approach and understanding of India’s needs showcase the transformative impact of young entrepreneurs,” she added.

Raaz is on a mission to transform male reproductive healthcare in India. By combining advanced technology with a deep understanding of societal challenges, the platform aims to improve millions of lives and create a healthier future for the nation.
