COOX, a popular home services platform, has secured $125,000 in a Seed funding round led by Inflection Point Ventures (IPV), a Gurugram-based investment firm. This funding will help COOX expand its services to new cities, boost marketing, and integrate advanced AI technologies to improve its operations.
COOX Services and Offerings
COOX provides a range of home services, making it easy to book professionals for events and daily tasks. From hiring professional chefs, bartenders, and waiters to booking event decorators, live singers, and kitchen cleaners, COOX offers a variety of solutions. The platform also provides rental services for appliances, crockery, and delivers ingredients for parties and other events.
COOX, since its launch in 2019, has served over 5 lakh customers across India, offering more than 15 different cuisines and 500+ dishes. The company’s goal is to simplify event hosting while creating job opportunities for gig workers in the hospitality sector. Their vision is simple: “Hosts should enjoy as much as the guests.”
Founders and Leadership
COOX was co-founded by three entrepreneurs with extensive experience:
- Akshat Gupta, Co-Founder & CEO, holds an MBA from IMT Hyderabad and has over 10 years of experience in startups and multinational corporations.
- Abhishek Gupta, Co-Founder & CMO, is an MBA graduate from IMT Ghaziabad and has over 6 years of experience in marketing and operations.

COOX Market Presence
Currently, COOX operates in 20 cities across India, offering a comprehensive set of services for event hosting and daily home tasks. The platform has a growing presence in the gig economy, creating jobs for more than 3,000 professionals. Additionally, COOX offers a monthly subscription service for domestic cooks, catering to busy households in need of everyday cooking help.
With the newly acquired funds, COOX plans to expand to 40 cities across India. The company aims to use advanced AI technology to improve customer experience and streamline its operations further.
Indian Food Services Market
The Indian food services market is expected to grow to $125 billion by 2030, with the catering industry alone valued at ₹20,000 crores. However, 97% of this market remains unorganized, which creates opportunities for companies like COOX to modernize the sector through technology.
Vinay Bansal, Founder & CEO of IPV, praised COOX’s business model, saying that it offers convenience and supports the gig economy by creating jobs in hospitality. He emphasized that the company aligns with IPV’s vision to back tech-driven solutions that make everyday life easier for people.
