Actor Rannvijay Singha and Sauce VC Invest Rs 6 Crore in Beverage Brand Rockit

Share post:

Rockit, a new-age beverage brand, has raised Rs 6 crore in a pre-seed funding round led by Sauce VC and actor Rannvijay Singha. Sauce VC, an early-stage consumer investor, joined Rockit at the idea stage investment, working with the management to find market gaps and create a unique brand in the beverage industry.

What Does Rockit Do?

Founded by Vedant Garg, a seasoned FMCG professional, Rockit offers various energy drinks, starting with a mass-priced berry-flavoured energy drink. Berry-flavoured drinks dominate nearly 90% of the market by volume. Rockit plans to expand its product line to include fruit-flavoured drinks and hydration products over time.

“The Indian consumer preference is changing, aligning with global standards. We offer similar products with Indian taste and convenience to the youth of Tier II and III cities. Distribution is key in India, and our family has extensive experience in the food business,” said Garg.

Focusing on Omnichannel Presence

Rockit is focusing on establishing an omnichannel presence in North Indian states, including Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh, with plans to gradually expand across India. The startup’s first product, the Rockit Energy Drink, was soft-launched in Haryana and received positive feedback for its taste and packaging. Rockit aims to use its distribution expertise to make its products available at major retail outlets throughout North India.

Investor Comments on Funding

Yash Dholakia, Partner at Sauce VC, said, “The team at Rockit has deep distribution expertise and has created a high-quality product at the right price. We are very impressed by the early pre-launch feedback and believe a large and profitable beverage brand can be built. We are also excited to partner with Rannvijay Singha, who is a great ally to the consumer brand startup ecosystem and resonates with the brand and consumer base perfectly.”

Digital Campaign

Rockit also launched a digital film showcasing the essence of the brand and its alignment with the aspirations of today’s youth. The film features Rannvijay in various high-energy scenarios, embodying the spirit of adventure and individuality that Rockit stands for.

An excited Rannvijay Singha said, “I’m thrilled to collaborate with the team at Rockit on the launch of their dynamic new energy drink. The taste and brand represent the energy of the youth of India, and we are excited about some groundbreaking campaigns to introduce it to consumers.”

With this investment and partnership, Rockit is set to revolutionize the energy drinks market in India.
