Zoho Launches Vikra App and IoT Platform, Reports 31% Growth in India

Global tech company Zoho Corp made two major announcements at its annual event, Zoholics India. The company launched Vikra, a seller app for the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC), and introduced Zoho IoT, a low-code platform for developing Internet of Things (IoT) solutions. These product launches come as Zoho reports a 31% growth in its Indian customer base in 2023.

Focus on Innovation and R&D

Sridhar Vembu, CEO and co-founder of Zoho, highlighted the company’s commitment to research and development (R&D) to drive innovation. He explained, “We continue to enhance our platform by launching products like Vikra and Zoho IoT. Our focus is on applying AI technology to improve customer experiences and provide deeper insights.”

India is Zoho’s second-largest market, where businesses are looking for efficient and scalable software solutions. Zoho is tapping into this trend by offering products that are both user-friendly and powerful.

Zoho Vikra App in ONDC

Vikra, Zoho’s new app, is designed to help small and medium enterprises (SMEs) enter the e-Commerce space more easily. Currently, SMEs make up only 7% of India’s retail sector, mainly due to high costs and technical challenges on existing online platforms.

Vikra aims to change this by allowing small businesses to set up their online stores on the ONDC network, a government initiative to promote open and accessible e-Commerce. The app helps businesses create product catalogs, manage operations, and sell on platforms like Paytm, Ola, and Snapdeal. Vikra also supports order fulfillment, integrating with delivery partners like Delhivery, and helps sellers handle payments and customer service.

T Koshy, CEO of ONDC, said, “Vikra helps make e-Commerce accessible to all businesses, regardless of size. With advanced tools like this, even the smallest enterprises can benefit from India’s growing digital economy.”

Zoho also launched Zoho IoT, a platform that allows businesses to develop and manage IoT solutions with ease. The platform offers pre-built solutions for industries such as manufacturing, smart buildings, and energy management. With real-time data insights powered by AI, Zoho IoT helps businesses improve operations, predict system failures, and optimize energy use.
