Pacific Group, a well-known name in India’s real estate and retail sector, is all set to grow its presence by developing a massive shopping mall and hotel in Jaipur. The company plans to build a 15 lakh square feet mall and a 130-room hotel in Rajasthan’s capital to meet the rising demand for quality retail and hospitality infrastructure in the region.
According to Abhishek Bansal, the Managing Director of Pacific Group, the land for this project has already been acquired. The shopping mall will be developed on an 11-acre plot in Jaipur, and construction is expected to be completed by the end of 2026. The 130-room hotel will follow, with an estimated opening date in 2027. Bansal mentioned that the hotel will be managed by a known hospitality chain, although the name has not been disclosed yet.
High Demand for Modern Shopping Malls
Abhishek Bansal highlighted that tier-II and tier-III cities like Jaipur are seeing strong demand for modern shopping destinations. As customers seek premium shopping experiences, there is a clear need for better-designed malls and branded outlets. He also noted that the food and beverage segment is performing well, contributing to the success of existing malls in smaller cities.
The company has already started leasing retail space in the upcoming Jaipur mall. Several brands have shown interest, and the space is expected to attract both national and international retailers. As the construction work progresses, Pacific Group aims to secure more tenants well before the mall’s official opening.
Pacific Group to Focus on Jaipur
When asked about further expansion, Abhishek Bansal said the company will concentrate on the Jaipur project before starting any new developments. Once the Jaipur mall reaches an advanced stage, they will explore new land options for future projects.
Bansal remains optimistic about the future of organised retail in India. He believes that despite the rise of e-commerce, physical retail stores continue to thrive. Consumers still prefer visiting malls for the experience, entertainment, and variety they offer. He is confident that the retail and hospitality sectors in India will continue to grow rapidly.
