Zepto Partners with Decathlon to Deliver Sports Gear in 10 Minutes

Zepto, an online quick-commerce unicorn known for delivering groceries in 10 minutes, has teamed up with Decathlon India to provide fast delivery of sporting goods. This collaboration aims to make Decathlon’s wide range of sports equipment easily accessible to customers across India, leveraging Zepto’s vast reach.

Available in 16 Major Cities

Through this partnership, Zepto will now deliver Decathlon’s sports products in 16 key cities including Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi-NCR, Chennai, and Hyderabad. Customers in these cities can order a variety of sports equipment through Zepto’s platform and have it delivered to their doorstep within 10 minutes. The goal is to cater to the growing demand for fitness products and make it easier for people to lead an active lifestyle.

Commitment to Active Living

Decathlon India’s CEO, Sankar Chatterjee, expressed excitement about this collaboration. He highlighted the growing interest in sports and fitness in India and emphasized Decathlon’s commitment to providing access to high-quality sports gear. “We are thrilled to work with Zepto to make it easier for people to stay active and pursue sports,” Chatterjee said.

Decathlon is offering a wide selection of sports gear on Zepto, covering categories like fitness, outdoor activities, water sports, and team sports. Whether customers are looking for durable sports equipment, running shoes, or yoga mats, Decathlon’s products will now be just a few clicks away, ensuring quick access for those looking to stay fit and active.

Zepto’s CEO, Aadit Palicha, shared his excitement about this partnership, stating, “We are proud to welcome Decathlon into the Zepto family. Together, we can make fitness products more accessible to millions of Indians and promote an active lifestyle.”

Decathlon Plan for Expansion

In addition to its partnership with Zepto, Decathlon recently announced plans to invest Rs 933 crore in India over the next five years. The company aims to expand its store network from 127 to 190 locations and increase digital engagement. Currently, 68% of Decathlon’s products sold in India are made locally, and the company plans to raise that figure to 85% by 2026.

This partnership with Zepto is a step towards making sports gear more accessible and contributing to the growing fitness culture in India.
