Nykaa Appoints Abhijeet Dabas as Executive VP for Fashion eCommerce

Nykaa, a top Indian beauty and fashion eCommerce company, has appointed Abhijeet Dabas as the Executive Vice President and Business Head of its fashion eCommerce division. Dabas is known for his expertise in strategic business growth and consumer-focused solutions, making this a significant step for Nykaa as it strengthens its position in the competitive fashion market.

Dabas is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta and has an impressive career spanning various well-known tech and e-commerce companies. His past roles include senior positions at McKinsey & Company, Cars24, Swiggy, Myntra, and Lazada. These experiences have equipped him with deep industry knowledge and insights into consumer behavior and digital business expansion.

Abhijeet Dabas Role in Nykaa

In his new role, Abhijeet Dabas will focus on boosting Nykaa Fashion’s digital strategy, expanding its reach internationally, and building partnerships with major global retailers, including Foot Locker and REVOLVE. His leadership is expected to drive further growth and help Nykaa maintain its strong presence in the rapidly changing fashion eCommerce sector in India.

Falguni Nayar, Nykaa’s Executive Chairperson and CEO, expressed her excitement over Dabas’s appointment. “We are thrilled to welcome Abhijeet to Nykaa. His proven ability to scale businesses and his understanding of the Indian fashion market align well with our vision for growth,” said Nayar.

Adwaita Nayar, CEO of Nykaa Fashion, added that this appointment comes at a perfect time as the company gears up to expand. She emphasized that Dabas’s experience will play a critical role in enhancing customer experience and scaling the fashion division.

Dabas’s Vision and Past Roles

Dabas previously served as the CEO of Cars24 Southeast Asia, where he led the company’s growth. He also oversaw the expansion of Swiggy’s cloud kitchen operations in India and managed private brands at Myntra Jabong. He is enthusiastic about joining Nykaa, saying, “Nykaa’s focus on innovation and customer experience matches my own vision. I’m excited to work with the team and drive our growth across different markets.”

This leadership change follows Nykaa’s recent Q2 performance, where the fashion vertical showed a 10% growth in GMV, influenced by seasonal demand. Overall, Nykaa’s revenue increased by 22%, reaching INR 166.09 crore, boosted by contributions from its Little Black Book platform.
