Bigbasket, the Tata-owned online grocery delivery company, has partnered with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) as the official quick commerce partner for the IPL 2025 season. The announcement marks a strong collaboration that goes beyond just cricket and focuses on shared values such as speed, trust, and a deep cultural bond with the city of Bengaluru.

Bigbasket RCB Partnership in IPL 2025

To celebrate this exciting partnership, Bigbasket has launched a special hyperlocal digital campaign that focuses on the unique spirit of Bengaluru. The campaign film features RCB captain Virat Kohli, along with teammates, using the Kannada word “andre” (which means “means”) in humorous and relatable ways to express their love for typical Bengaluru moments.

The video quickly became a hit on social media. According to Bigbasket, the campaign received over 9.5 million organic views on Instagram alone. With more support from cricket legends like AB de Villiers, Chris Gayle, and Dinesh Karthik, the total viewership across all platforms is expected to cross 10 million views this week.

RCB’s Bond with Bengaluru Through Bigbasket

This partnership between RCB and Bigbasket highlights how sports and business can come together to create deeper engagement with fans. RCB, known for its loyal and energetic fan base, especially in Bengaluru, is seen by Bigbasket as more than just a cricket team.

Hari Menon, Co-Founder and CEO of Bigbasket, said that RCB symbolizes Bengaluru’s energy, diversity, and never-give-up spirit. He added that Bigbasket reflects the same passion through its services, focusing on fast delivery, reliability, and customer satisfaction.

The collaboration between Bigbasket and RCB aims to bring fans closer to the game while also connecting them to their everyday shopping needs through quick and efficient grocery delivery.

Bringing Cricket and Commerce Closer

This move is part of Bigbasket’s broader strategy to grow its brand presence using popular cultural platforms like the IPL. With its strong digital reach and creative campaign ideas, Bigbasket is using this opportunity to highlight its quick commerce strengths and local connection with Bengaluru.

As IPL 2025 approaches, fans can expect more exciting interactions and content from this partnership that blends the fast-paced world of cricket with the speed of online shopping. The Bigbasket-RCB partnership is another example of how brands are embracing sports to build stronger community ties and offer fun, relatable experiences for their audiences.
