Amazon India Launches 3 New Fulfillment Centers

To prepare for the upcoming festive season, Amazon India has announced the opening of three new fulfillment centers in Delhi NCR, Guwahati, and Patna. These centers will help speed up deliveries for customers in North and East India, while also providing job opportunities in these regions.

Faster Deliveries with Expanded Network

Amazon India new fulfillment centers, along with their expanded delivery network, are expected to significantly improve delivery times for customers in the region. According to Amazon, the combined storage capacity of these new centers is over 1.2 million cubic feet, which will allow faster processing and shipping of customer orders.

The investment in these facilities is aimed at bringing products closer to customers, making the entire process more efficient. This will help local sellers meet customer demands faster and provide a more seamless shopping experience during the busy festive season.

Creating Jobs and Opportunities

Amazon India highlighted that these new centers will also create thousands of new jobs in the region. These roles will include a mix of full-time and part-time positions, providing more employment opportunities across Delhi NCR, Assam, and Bihar.

The company has stated that the buildings are fully operational and ready to support over 2.5 lakh sellers from these regions, ensuring they are well-prepared for the festive rush.

Supporting Sellers Across the Region

By increasing its fulfillment network, Amazon aims to support sellers by making it easier for them to reach customers. This move is expected to improve service for both buyers and sellers, giving local businesses more access to Amazon’s logistics network.

In addition to helping customers, the fulfillment centers are designed to give sellers the ability to store their products closer to key markets, thus reducing the time it takes to fulfill orders. This expansion will help small and medium businesses grow during the important festive season.
