London: India is making a strong presence at the International Food & Drink Event (IFE) London 2025, showcasing a wide range of agricultural produce, processed food items, and alcoholic beverages. Organized by the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), the event serves as a major opportunity for Indian exporters to expand their global reach and strengthen trade ties with the UK market.
A delegation of 16 leading exporters from states such as Gujarat, Punjab, Telangana, Haryana, Maharashtra, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu is representing India at the event. In total, 27 Indian participants have gathered to exhibit a diverse selection of value-added food products, offering international buyers a glimpse into India’s rich agricultural heritage and food industry innovations.
The India Pavilion was officially inaugurated by the Deputy High Commissioner of India in the UK, Sujit Ghosh, alongside First Secretary (Trade, Tourism, and OCI) Rakesh Dahiya and officials from APEDA. Their presence emphasizes India’s commitment to expanding its food exports and boosting trade partnerships on a global level.
Showcase of Authentic Indian Flavors
India’s participation in IFE London 2025 features an impressive range of fresh and processed food items. Visitors can explore a variety of fruits such as mangoes, pomegranates, and guavas, known for their distinct flavors and high nutritional value.
The exhibition also highlights a premium selection of Indian alcoholic beverages, including well-known brands like Rampur, Sula, Godawan, Old Monk Coffee Rum, Jamun Gin, and Jaisalmer. These products reflect India’s growing reputation in the global spirits and beverage industry.
Other showcased items include Basmati rice, honey, namkeen, peanut butter, makhana, sauces, millets, soya chaap, baby corn, masala soda, dried petha, and an assortment of ready-to-cook (RTC) meals. Some of the featured RTC dishes include Rajma Rice, Samosas, Dal Rice, Sarson Ka Saag, Chana Rice, and coconut-based products. These offerings cater to international consumers who appreciate convenience without compromising on authentic Indian flavors.
Focus on Organic Products
A key aspect of India’s exhibition at IFE London 2025 is the promotion of organic food products, millets, and indigenous fruits. Millets, known for their high nutritional value and sustainability, are being highlighted as part of India’s efforts to promote healthy eating habits worldwide.
To enhance visitor experience, sampling sessions are being organized, allowing attendees to taste authentic Indian dishes. Guests can enjoy traditional recipes such as vegetarian and non-vegetarian Basmati Rice Biryani and Millet Khichdi, offering a firsthand experience of India’s rich culinary heritage.
