Noida International Airport has partnered with Anlon Technology Solutions to bring India’s first indigenously built Runway Rubber Removal Machine (RRM) into operation. This locally manufactured machine is called the Cleanjet RRM and is a major step forward in India’s aviation technology and airport maintenance capabilities.
According to the airport, the machine will help maintain runway safety and cleanliness by removing rubber deposits, paint, and oil spills. This cleaning is essential because rubber left on runways from aircraft landings can make surfaces slippery and dangerous.
Eco-Friendly and Efficient
The Cleanjet RRM uses ultra-high-pressure water jets to clean without chemicals. This makes the cleaning process 100% chemical-free, safe for the environment, and effective in preventing damage to the airport pavement.
Built on the Eicher Pro 6028 chassis, the machine runs on a Bharat Stage-VI-compliant diesel engine, ensuring both high performance and low emissions. It also includes an extra engine and a high-pressure water pump to handle deep cleaning quickly and safely.
Powerful Cleaning Features
This machine can clean between 800 to 1,100 square metres per hour. With large tanks that can hold 8,000 litres of water and collected debris, it can work for over four hours straight. This allows airport teams to do essential maintenance work with minimal interruption to operations.
The machine also includes a built-in suction system that collects waste material like rubber, paint flakes, and oil right at the nozzle. As a result, the surface is left clean and dry, ready for immediate use, with no need for extra drying or cleaning steps.
High-Tech and Quick
Multiple cameras and a 12-inch monitor allow operators to watch the cleaning in real time. The machine can also store a full month of video footage, which helps improve safety and track how it’s being used.
The Cleanjet RRM is designed for fast action and can exit the runway quickly in emergencies without taking it apart. Its cleaning head can be easily lifted, lowered, or removed, making it simple to transport and store.
With this partnership, Noida International Airport shows its commitment to smart, eco-friendly solutions that raise safety standards and support Indian technology. The Cleanjet RRM is a step toward building a modern and self-reliant airport ecosystem.
