India is the Next Big Playground for AI: Samsung CEO

Jaong-Hee Han, Vice Chairman, CEO, and Head of the Device eXperience (DX) Division at Samsung Electronics, who visited Samsung BKC at Jio World Plaza, Mumbai recently for the first time since the store’s opening, said that India is the next big playground for artificial intelligence (AI).

Highlighting India’s prominence in Samsung’s strategic vision, Han stated, “India is the next big playground for AI, and our flagship Samsung BKC store is an embodiment of our ‘AI for All’ vision and will showcase ‘One Samsung’.” This statement aligns with Samsung’s commitment to democratizing AI technology and making it accessible to all consumers.

Earlier this year, Han unveiled Samsung’s ‘AI for All’ vision at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), emphasizing how AI will revolutionize user experiences across Samsung’s devices, enabling intuitive and convenient interactions. As part of this vision, Samsung introduced Galaxy AI in its latest Galaxy S24 smartphone series, further integrating AI capabilities into its product lineup.

Recognizing India’s pivotal role in Samsung’s global strategy, Han emphasized the country’s status as one of the largest and fastest-growing markets worldwide, offering immense opportunities for innovation and growth. He lauded India’s vibrant ecosystem of tech-savvy young consumers and highlighted the contributions of thousands of talented individuals working at Samsung’s research and development (R&D) centers across the country.
