Velocity, a leading enabler for direct-to-consumer (D2C) brands in India, has launched a new service called Shipfast. This innovative solution is designed to help D2C businesses offer faster deliveries directly through their websites. With options like 4-hour, same-day, and next-day shipping, Shipfast aims to simplify order fulfillment and reduce operational costs for businesses.
D2C brands have experienced remarkable growth on quick-commerce platforms like Zepto, Blinkit, and Swiggy’s Instamart. However, many brands are now shifting to managing their own delivery services to maintain control over the customer experience and avoid high platform commissions.
Despite these efforts, one major challenge remains: providing a seamless shipping experience. Delayed deliveries, slow issue resolution, and inaccurate tracking often lead to customer dissatisfaction, impacting brand loyalty and repeat purchases.
How Shipfast Solves D2C Shipping Challenges
Shipfast addresses these common pain points by reimagining shipping workflows with its logistics partners. The service is optimized for quicker deliveries, incorporating internal systems to detect potential delivery issues early. Proprietary AI agents further ensure smooth operations, providing real-time solutions to roadblocks and enhancing overall efficiency.
Abhiroop Medhekar, Co-Founder and CEO of Velocity, highlighted the impact of faster deliveries on business growth. According to Medhekar, access to capital drives 40-50% growth for D2C brands, but faster deliveries can unlock an additional 30-40% growth by improving customer conversion rates.
“Shipfast strengthens direct customer relationships by boosting loyalty and increasing repeat purchases on brand websites. This is a crucial step in our mission to empower D2C brands in India,” Medhekar said. He also mentioned that Velocity is open to enhancing Shipfast further through potential acquisitions.

Backed by Strong Partnerships
Shipfast is backed by Peter Thiel’s Valar Ventures and has partnered with leading logistics providers like Delhivery, Shadowfax, Ekart, and EcomExpress. These collaborations enable Shipfast to cover multiple cities across India, ensuring widespread access to its quick delivery services.
