MediaTek Launches Dimensity 9300+ Mobile Chip with New Capabilities

Chip-making giant MediaTek revealed its latest innovation on Tuesday, introducing the Dimensity 9300+ as the newest addition to its flagship mobile chip portfolio. Engineered to deliver enhanced AI processing and gaming capabilities, the Dimensity 9300+ promises improved performance and efficiency for mobile devices.

JC Hsu, Corporate Senior Vice President at MediaTek, emphasized the chip’s advancements in on-device generative AI processing. The Dimensity 9300+ incorporates MediaTek’s groundbreaking NeuroPilot Speculative Decode Acceleration technology, enabling faster LLM inference and delivering superior user experiences.

The flagship mobile chip sets a new standard in AI processing, boasting significant improvements over its predecessor. With the NeuroPilot Speculative Decode Acceleration, the Dimensity 9300+ can handle LLMs with seven billion parameters at an impressive rate of 22 tokens per second, surpassing competitors’ solutions by over two times.

In addition to its AI prowess, the Dimensity 9300+ integrates a second-generation hardware ray tracing engine featuring an Arm Immortalis-G720 GPU. This enables gamers to enjoy fast ray tracing experiences at a smooth 60 frames per second (FPS) and console-grade global illumination effects, enhancing the gaming experience on mobile devices.

Moreover, MediaTek’s latest HyperEngine technologies further elevate gaming performance on the Dimensity 9300+. The MediaTek Adaptive Gaming Technology (MAGT) optimizes power efficiency during gameplay, extending battery life and maintaining device temperatures for uninterrupted gaming sessions.
