Zomato, the popular food delivery platform led by Deepinder Goyal, has partnered with the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE India) to improve financial literacy among its delivery partners. This initiative will offer workshops across the country to help delivery partners learn essential personal finance management skills.

Deepinder Goyal shared the news on X (formerly Twitter), saying, “To enhance financial awareness for delivery partners at @zomato, I am excited to announce our collaboration with @NSEIndia. Together, we will conduct financial literacy workshops across India to educate our delivery partners on managing their personal finances effectively.”

First Workshop Held in Hyderabad

The first workshop took place on October 22, 2024, in Hyderabad, Telangana. According to Goyal, over 2,000 delivery partners participated in the event voluntarily. He emphasized that the sessions are designed to meet the unique needs of Zomato’s delivery community.

These financial literacy workshops aim to provide delivery partners with basic financial knowledge and skills. The focus is on helping them understand how to manage their money, save wisely, and grow their finances. Goyal expressed hope that these sessions will act as a stepping stone for delivery partners to achieve financial independence. “I hope these sessions help our delivery partners learn to manage, save, and grow their finances effectively,” he said.

Customized Content for Delivery Partners

The workshops are specifically curated to address the financial needs of delivery partners, ensuring that the content is relevant and practical. Topics covered include budgeting, saving strategies, and understanding investments. This initiative aims to empower delivery partners with the tools needed for better financial decision-making.
