Delhivery Appoints Vani Venkatesh as Chief Business Officer

Gurugram-based logistics giant Delhivery has announced the appointment of Vani Venkatesh as its new Chief Business Officer, effective February 28, 2025. With over two decades of experience in leadership roles across various industries, Vani is set to play a crucial role in Delhivery’s continued expansion in India’s logistics sector.

Venkatesh Industry Experience

Before joining Delhivery, Vani held key positions at top corporations such as Airtel, McKinsey, Unilever, and Abbott Nutrition. Her tenure at Airtel included leadership roles such as CEO for Global Business, CEO for the Delhi NCR region, Chief Marketing Officer, and CEO for the Retail Business. She also served as a Board Member at Nxtra by Airtel and Bharti Telemedia Ltd., contributing to business growth and strategy at the highest level.

Her experience extends beyond telecommunications, having worked at McKinsey, Unilever, and Abbott Nutrition. With expertise in strategic planning, market expansion, and business transformation, she brings a wealth of knowledge to Delhivery’s growing logistics operations.

Vision for Growth at Delhivery

Upon her appointment, Vani expressed her excitement about joining Delhivery, emphasizing the company’s role in redefining logistics in India. She looks forward to leading key business units, including express parcel and part-truckload freight, as well as supply chain services. She will also oversee client servicing and marketing, ensuring streamlined operations and enhanced customer experience.

Sahil Barua, Managing Director and CEO of Delhivery, welcomed Vani to the team, stating that her leadership experience will significantly strengthen the company’s management structure. He highlighted her ability to manage complex business environments and navigate dynamic markets, which will be invaluable as Delhivery expands its logistics footprint.

Delhivery Market Position

Delhivery has established itself as one of India’s leading logistics providers, covering over 18,700 pin codes and offering a diverse range of services. The company specializes in express parcel transportation, part-truckload and full-truckload freight, cross-border logistics, and technology-driven supply chain solutions. Since its inception, Delhivery has handled over 3.2 billion shipments and currently serves more than 38,000 customers, including major e-commerce players, small businesses, and large enterprises.

With Vani Venkatesh stepping into the role of Chief Business Officer, Delhivery aims to further strengthen its operational efficiency and expand its logistics network. Her leadership is expected to drive the company’s growth in India’s rapidly evolving logistics industry.
