Popular podcast host Joe Rogan has publicly endorsed Donald Trump for president, making the announcement just before Election Day. Rogan shared his endorsement on social media while promoting his recent interview with Elon Musk on “The Joe Rogan Experience,” one of the world’s most influential podcasts. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Rogan stated, “For the record, yes, that’s an endorsement of Trump,” alongside a clip from his conversation with Musk.
Rogan Praises Musk and Trump’s Vision
During the interview, Rogan expressed admiration for Musk and his support for Trump. He stated, “If it wasn’t for him, we’d be f–ked. He makes what I think is the most compelling case for Trump you’ll hear, and I agree with him every step of the way.” Rogan’s comment has fueled excitement among his vast following, especially since his recent three-hour conversation with Trump has already amassed over 45 million views on YouTube.
Trump Encourages Rogan’s Endorsement
On the podcast, Trump openly urged Rogan to support him, saying, “You should do the same thing, Joe, because you cannot be voting for Kamala. You’re not a Kamala person. I know you.” This interaction follows a recent tension between the two when Trump criticized Rogan for initially supporting Robert Kennedy Jr., an independent candidate who later endorsed Trump after exiting the race. Despite these past differences, Trump softened his tone, referring to Rogan as a “good guy” in a later post.
Harris’ Supporters Rally, but Rogan’s Influence Is Unique
While Trump gains endorsements from high-profile figures like Musk and Hulk Hogan, Vice President Kamala Harris has her own lineup of star supporters, including LeBron James, Oprah Winfrey, Meryl Streep, and Taylor Swift. The Harris campaign reportedly considered an appearance on Rogan’s show, but the plan did not come to fruition.
Rogan’s influence on his audience is notable. With 14.5 million Spotify followers, “The Joe Rogan Experience” reaches a predominantly young, male demographic—many of whom favor Trump, according to a YouGov poll. As both campaigns vie for support in the final hours before the United States election, high-profile endorsements like Rogan’s may play a critical role in swaying undecided voters.
