It might take some time to wrap your head around the staggering figure mentioned above, but what if this number represented your wealth? Yes, we’re discussing earnings here. You might be skeptical, but this isn’t a joke; it’s a reality. This figure isn’t just any number but the wealth accumulated in a single stroke by an individual in some other part of this world.

In India, where a fintech giant like Paytm is grappling with a significant crisis, losing over Rs. 20,000 crores in market capitalization within a span of just three to four days, there’s a different story unfolding globally. In a single move, one individual has amassed more than 2.3 lakh crores, surpassing even titans like Bill Gates.

We’re referring to Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg, now the fourth richest person globally, overtaking Microsoft’s Bill Gates. Ahead of him in the ranks of the wealthy are Elon Musk, Bernard Arnault, and Jeff Bezos. Bill Gates has slid down to the fifth rank.

The list of billionaires witnesses daily fluctuations, and once again, there’s been a shuffle among the world’s top billionaires. The primary beneficiary of this reshuffle is Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg. Leading Meta, Facebook’s parent company, he’s made a significant leap in the wealth race.

With remarkable momentum, he now occupies the fourth position among the top 10 billionaires. There’s been a substantial surge in his net worth, skyrocketing by $28.1 billion or approximately Rs 2.3 lakh crore in one go.

Following this surge, Mark Zuckerberg’s wealth now stands at $170 billion, surpassing Microsoft founder Bill Gates, currently the fifth richest person globally, whose net worth amounts to $145 billion, slipping down one spot in the rankings.

Mark Zuckerberg hasn’t just surpassed Bill Gates but has also become the highest-earning billionaire so far this year. According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, his net worth has soared by $42.4 billion to date, surpassing any other billionaire’s earnings.

Zuckerberg, currently aged 39, achieved the status of the world’s youngest billionaire at a mere 23 years old. He established Facebook in 2004.
