Peak XV has announced its tenth cohort of startups for the Surge seed-stage platform, which is focused on helping founders build early-stage companies. The Surge 10 cohort includes 14 startups from countries such as India, Singapore, the Philippines, China, UAE, Australia, UK, and the US. This cohort showcases companies working in AI, developer tools, consumer brands, next-generation fintech, healthcare, and other key industries.
Surge 10 Startups
The startups selected for Surge 10 include Amaani, Ambak, Auquan, Brainfish, Clout Kitchen, Dezy, Dubbing AI, OrbitShift, Parseable, SalarySe, Tailcall, The Health Factory, Wobot, and a stealth healthcare company. Notably, Amaani is the first company from the Middle East to be included in Surge.
Seed Funding and Full-Stack Support
Each startup in the Surge program will receive up to US$3 million in seed funding. Additionally, they will benefit from full-stack support, including assistance with hiring, product development, technology, marketing, and more. Surge provides hands-on mentoring and the resources needed to help startups grow from scratch.
Community and Resources
Beyond funding, Surge offers startups access to Peak XV’s large community of founders and builders. The platform provides tools and resources worth over US$2 million, including perks like cloud storage, marketing tools, software, and more. Founders can also engage with leading global mentors who will guide them through critical steps in building their businesses.
Key Milestone for Surge
The announcement of the Surge 10 cohort marks a major milestone for Peak XV. Since its launch in 2019, Surge has supported over 350 founders in their company-building journeys. Many companies from earlier Surge cohorts have gone on to achieve remarkable success, growing into sustainable businesses.
Program Structure
The Surge 10 program runs from October 2024 to February 2025. It features a mix of in-person and online sessions focused on founder development, go-to-market strategies, product development, sales, and brand building. The program concludes with a US immersion experience in Silicon Valley, where founders will visit companies like OpenAI and Notion.
Surge 09’s program earlier this year included a visit to NVIDIA and a meeting with CEO Jensen Huang.
