Bengaluru-based startup ApClub has secured Rs 2 crore in pre-seed funding to make fitness more accessible right where people live. This round was led by popular fitness brand Curefit and supported by startup accelerator PedalStart, which also came on board as a strategic investor.
Angel investors such as Pranay Jivrajka, Founder & CEO of Allo Health and former CEO of Ola Foods, also participated. The funding aims to support ApClub’s growth and bring fitness closer to busy urban Indians.
ApClub Services
Founded in October 2023, ApClub focuses on personalised home fitness programs like strength training, weight loss plans, yoga, Pilates, and nutrition guidance. Users can pick from a wide range of coaching services, designed to fit into their lifestyles without the need to travel to gyms.
With this fresh funding, ApClub plans to launch group classes and sports coaching for adults and kids. The startup also wants to strengthen its backend team, improve operations, and hire more fitness instructors to handle growth at scale.
Grows Beyond Bengaluru
Currently, ApClub operates in over 40 apartment complexes across Bengaluru, serving around 500 customers in residential communities such as Godrej United, Brigade Lakefront, Prestige Kew Gardens, and Purva Skydale. The company now plans to expand into more metro and Tier 1 cities in the coming years.
In the longer run, ApClub hopes to manage clubhouse gyms in apartment complexes and roll out outdoor wellness programs to become a one-stop platform for fitness and wellness needs.
Supports Busy Lives
ApClub’s CEO, Shalabh Malhotra, explained that the idea came from noticing how busy city lifestyles leave people too tired to travel for workouts. “After a hectic day, people have little time or energy to commute. By bringing fitness home, we remove that barrier,” he said.
This approach to offline coaching at people’s homes or societies has impressed investors. Manas Pal and Adiya Darolia, Co-Founders of PedalStart, highlighted that serving customers where they already are at home helps ApClub stand out and scale faster.
Eyes Future Growth
ApClub is working on a customer-facing mobile app to launch in late 2025. The company also targets $1 million annual recurring revenue (ARR) by 2026. With a clear focus on home fitness programs and tech-backed convenience, ApClub wants to make daily wellness easier and more practical for urban Indians.
